Notes:
  • For all scripts:
    1. Remove /****...****/ line at the last (if present) in all script files. This can cause execution of SPOOL OFF statement again in some systems/DBs.
    2. Do not use CASCADE CONSTRAINTS clause in DROP statements. If specified in the correct order, these can be eliminated.
    3. Keep names short and meaningful (to the extent possible) while naming primary key columns.
      For example, the primary key for table REF_CURRENCY_MASTER can be named as PK_REFCURMAS_CURID.
    4. Limit naming of constraints to max 3 letters based on the table / column names.
      For example, the constraint FK_CCYMPG_CCYMASTER_CCYID can be renamed to FK_CCYMPG_CCYMAS_CCYID
      (CURRENCYMAPPING -> CCYMPG, CURRENCYMASTER -> CCYMAS, CURRENCYID -> CCYID).
    5. Provide comments for tables as well as columns.
    6. The datatype of SRC_ID should be VARCHAR2(5), and not CHAR(5).
    7. Use the SRC_ID column definition in the table as "SRC_ID VARCHAR2(5) DEFAULT USER NOT NULL". Do not use ALTER TABLE on these columns after table creation.
    8. SRC_ID and other primary key columns have to be the first column(s) in the table (wherever applicable).
    9. Unique constraint name should start with UK and not UC.
      For example, UC_MET_VARIABLE_PRICES_PLAN should be replaced by UK_MET_VARIABLE_PRICES_PLAN.
    10. Database schema name to be updated in the script log section as applicable.
    11. Make sure that sequences (if any) are added to the scripts.
