Release Notes

The first bugfix release of the JAMWiki 1.3.x series, JAMWiki 1.3.1 (code name "Birdhouse") is now available for download from Sourceforge. This release is a minor release that contains only bugfixes; no changes have been made to CSS, the database schema, or any other area that would require special attention when upgrading. All users of previous JAMWiki 1.3.x releases are encouraged to upgrade.

Please provide feedback on the Feedback page and report any bugs in the JIRA bug tracker. Bug reports should include any error messages from the logs and any additional information that can be used to diagnose the problem.

See Installation#Upgrades. This is a minor release and there are no changes to CSS, the database schema, or configuration when upgrading from JAMWiki 1.3. When upgrading site administrators should be aware of the following issues that are specific to this release:

  • Installations of JAMWiki 1.2.x or later on app servers with limited heap may see out of memory errors. See JAMWIKI-79 for details.

  • Fix missing "editors" element in jamwiki-configuration-1.3.xsd. Reported and fixed by Thomas Koch.
  • Remove unneeded 403.jsp page, which contained an invalid constant that caused warnings in Eclipse. Reported by Thomas Koch.
  • Fix a UTF-8 issue that caused invalid characters to appear on some of the default pages in non-English languages (Peter Palmreuther / pitpalme).
  • Fix invalid Mediawiki text data (Peter Palmreuther / pitpalme).
  • Miscellaneous minor optimizations (Peter Palmreuther / pitpalme).

Translation Updates

  • Updated German translations (pitpalme).
  • Updated Russian translations (shar).
